Take part in this rare opportunity to get up close to hunting Golden Eagles. Join some of the country’s most experienced handlers whilst they work their birds. Enjoy the undulating open area's of the Estate which make the perfect setting for these birds to properly spread their wings.
Dates:
22rd October;
19th November;
10th December;

A typical day:
9:30 am Arrival; A light breakfast of tea and bacon rolls will be served at Pitt Hall Barn
9:30—10 am Meet the Birds; The handlers will explain a bit about the birds and what is going to happen during the day
10—12:30 pm Morning Hunt; This will involve walking across fields and countryside so a basic level of fitness and appropriate footwear and clothing is required. There will be the opportunity to see up to 6 birds in the field flying in turn. The main quarry will be the brown hare, the population of which is flourishing in the area.
12:30—1:30 pm Lunch; A light meal of soup and salad will be served at Pitt Hall Barn
1:30—3:30 Afternoon Hunt; As with the morning hunt, the afternoon session will further explore the Estate.
3:30-4 Tea; return to Pitt Hall Barn and gather around the fire for a debriefing with tea and home made cakes.(A more substantial meal can be provided on request)
Booking: The cost of this experience will be £65.00 per person. Our experience has shown that groups of 10 to 20 people work best for this event. We can take individual bookings or group bookings. There are also opportunities for groups to buy a day outside of these dates — please call / email to discuss.
